Since I’m swedish I pretty much only visit a church when someone dies. That being said, I still like to enter churches and cathedrals like this one where the architecture, ornaments and the overall symmetry are really impressive. It’s also kind of fascinating that giganormous gothic fortresses like this one are being used for religion. I guess God must be a pretty big and scary guy.

I wish modern architects would add more gargoyles to new buildings. Everything looks better with a bunch of scary creatures on it, don’t you agree?

Just a random evening in Prague. We’d been out for dinner and a few drinks, and on our way back to our part of old town there was this massive fireworks display.

A bunch of shots from the Old jewish cemetary in Prague. It’s over 500 years old, so I guess it really lives up to its name. If you’re in Prague I definitely recommend visiting it. It’s a really quiet and – in it’s own way – beautiful place.

I spent a weekend in Prague this summer, and here’s a small collection of shots of statues against nice Prague-ian backdrops. All of these where taken on an early evening from the Charles Bridge (Karlsbron) with the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-200mm F4-5.6 OIS telephoto lens. I wish that I’d spent some more time trying out some different compositions and such for these shots, but when you’re travelling with friends you don’t want get stuck too long nerding about with camera stuff. It’s mostly click-and-go when I’m on vacation, but it’s kind of fun to see how similar all these shots ended up. I guess my standard tactic is to focus on something in the foreground to the left, and try to get a more or less blurry background as filler.

If I didn’t have two cats (and a girlfriend) I would probably buy myself a pet lizard. Or a parrot. Or maybe some cool fish. No, a parrot.

Wohoo, my final two shots from the second trip to FjÀrlishuset. I think I’ll wait for at least a month now before I go back for more. Then again, I have a couple of new lenses that I’d like to try out…

I’m usually not that fond of photos of cute babies (and I’m pretty sure it’s not just me), but it’s suddenly more fun with baby pics. I guess it might have something to do with my being an uncle nowadays… Anyhow, once in a while I’ll post photos of my niece (and of cats), but that doesn’t mean that I’m not a super cool and awesome guy. Allright?

I’ve only seen this guy one time during my visits at FjÀrlishuset, but I can’t remember what it’s called. Anyhow, I think it’s one of the prettiest they have there, and I especially like those curved antennas.

Oh, and a bonus pic will be dedicated to the first one who recognises where I took the post title from.

More butterfly shots. I think these are decent, but I gotta work more with the flash to try to avoid all those shadows from the bodies and wings of the butterflies. I’ve bought a flash cable since I shot these pics, and I’ll post some newer insect photos (no butterflies) with that setup soon(ish).

PS. I’m super hungover today. Over and out.
